China Section 301 Tariff Update

On September 21, 2018, the Office of the United States Trade Representative published in the Federal Register (83 FR 47974) Notice of Modification of Section 301 Action: China’s Acts, Policies, and Practices Related to Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property, and Innovation -- the publication of the list of products of Chines-origin to be subject to 10% additional tariffs beginning on September 24, 2018. The notice did not include a procedure for companies to request exclusions of specific products. The earlier two lists of "Section 301" tariffs were followed, relatively shortly with publication of procedures for seeking exclusions and most observers expect there will be a similar procedure with regard to this list.
