Rhode Island Textile Manufacturer Lands Government Contracts for Blankets

Northwest Woolen Mills, a division of Hyman Brickle & Son, Inc. has been awarded a five year contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The contract is to establish a supplier capable of providing 100% cotton blankets to meet the needs of disaster survivors during response efforts and for general stock replenishment at FEMA distribution centers.

The contract award document amount is $46,000,000

Northwest Woolen Mills has also been awarded a one year contract with the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency.

The contract is for a fixed quantity of 755,000 Disaster Blankets. The blankets will be produced at the company headquarters in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

The contract award document amount is $3,011,695.00
